Genk v Ferencvaros Preview | Battle for top spot in Group F  | OneFootball

Genk host Hungarian side Ferencvaros in a battle for top spot in Group F of the Europa Conference League. Both sides have four points from their opening two fixtures, with both beating Cukaricki and drawing to Italian side Fiorentina. The Hungarian side are currently top having scored five goals, with Genk having managed four.

Dejan Stankovic’s side are in good form domestically, top of the NB I with just one defeat in their opening nine games. Even though they have a game in hand on Paksi SE in second, they are are point ahead with seven wins and one draw. Over the weekend the side beat Diosgyori VTK 2-1 thanks to goals from Endre Botka and Aleksander Pesic. The side were minutes away from a famous win in Italy last time out, with a 93rd minute equaliser from Jonathan Ikone rescuing a point for Fiorentina.

Genk are coming in with confidence, having beaten Mechelen 4-0 at the weekend. Goals from Bryan Heynen and Joseph Paintsil in the first half were enough in their last Conference League game as they beat Cukaricki 2-0. Bilal El Khannous is leading the side in terms of goals domestically with three, while Paintsil leads the side with three assists.
