Genk attacker Joseph Paintsil attracting interest from Brentford, Fulham and Brighton | OneFootball

Brentford, Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion are interested in signing Genk attacker Joseph Paintsil, according to The Telegraph.

The Ghana international has been instrumental in helping Genk top the Belgian Pro League, contributing 14 goals and 14 assists.

The Premier League clubs have all sent scouts to watch the 25-year-old and he has impressed.

Paintsil has been one of the stars of the Belgian Pro League as they head into the play-offs.

Genk expect to make a healthy profit on their initial investment after signing him from Hungarian club Ferencvaros.

They will demand around £10 million for the talented winger.

He has recorded more goal contributions than Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah this season.

Clubs appreciate Paintsil’s profile as he can operate on the right and through the middle.

In addition to their interest in Paintsil, Brentford want to keep Romeo Beckham permanently.

The Bees had taken him on a season-long loan from Inter Miami II for their reserve team.

Beckham started training with Brentford following the conclusion of the 2022 MLS Next Pro season. The 20-year-old impressed the club enough to take a chance on him.

Brentford B head coach Neil MacFarlane was delighted at the player’s signing and wants to keep him around. He has praised Beckham’s conduct and standards.

Beckham played for Fort Lauderdale CF in 2021 before they renamed it Inter Miami II. It acts as a reserve team for Inter Miami, which his father, David, owns.

He made 20 appearances for Inter Miami II as they finished sixth in the Eastern Conference last season. He bagged two goals and ten assists.

However, the midfielder must choose between staying in England with Brentford or returning to the US.
