Viktor Gyökeres has ended up on the radar of several big teams and the competition is expected to be fierce in the summer. Despite the concrete interest in the Premier League, AC Milan believe that they could secure his services.

Gyökeres has been tremendous for Sporting Lisbon this season and with 36 goals to his name, he has attracted the interest of several big clubs. According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), Milan are one of them and they believe they hold an advantage.

While the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea – the two most interested clubs win the Premier League – would be able to offer more money, they don’t have Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Gyökeres has always seen the latter as his idol and a call from the 42-year-old could be a game-changer in that sense.

The price tag is set at no less than €50m, despite the €100m release clause, and the feeling is that the player’s preference will weigh heavily in the summer. Then again, a full-blown auction would still be difficult for Milan to participate in.

Furthermore, some reports also suggest that Milan are focused on other strikers, although the Gyökeres interest is indeed real and concrete.
