AC Milan are at risk of losing one of the brightest prospects from the Primavera as they are struggling to agree a renewal with Jan-Carlo Simic and there is interest from abroad, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) confirms that Milan could lose Simic in the summer. The captain of the Primavera side, which reached the UEFA Youth League final, is attracting interest.

His contract is expiring in 2025 and nothing filters out that suggests a renewal is imminent. Instead, the news is that Feyenoord are definitely interested in signing him and immediately giving him a chance with the senior side in the Eredivisie.

There have already been dialogues and the situation can evolve quickly, because Simic is in the extended list of Serbia’s squad for the European Championship, with a chance of getting into the final squad list.

Feyenoord may want to try get there before the rest of Europe sees him on the biggest stage. In the meantime, the Rossoneri must now feel a sense of urgency to try and extend the contract of one of their brightest prospects.

Simic made his first team debut this season at a time when there was a crisis in the rearguard, and he scored against Monza in December. He appeared tp be a very mature defender when given minutes, something that seems to have stemmed from his leader status with Ignazio Abate’s side.
