GdS: Predicted XIs for Lecce vs. Milan – Sportiello, Bondo and Jimenez to start | OneFootball

AC Milan are hoping to end a streak of three defeats this evening when they take on Lecce at the Stadio Via del Mare.

The build-up to the game has been dominated by the Sergio Conceicao spokesperson saga and also the talk of infighting among the Milan directors, not exactly creating the ideal conditions for the team to perform.

However, the team have an obligation to perform and to try right the wrongs of what has been a terrible campaign so far in the league, with the Rossoneri currently in ninth position.

Predicted starting XIs

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Marco Sportiello will take the place of the suspended Mike Maignan in goal, with Kyle Walker, Malick Thiaw, Matteo Gabbia and Theo Hernandez forming the defence.

Warren Bondo is expected to get his first start for the club since arriving from Monza, with Tijjani Reijnders joining him in the midfield double pivot.

The paper believe Yunus Musah will start on the right side of the attack, completed by Christian Pulisic down the middle, Alex Jimenez on the right and Tammy Abraham up front.
