AC Milan must quickly put their last two league defeats behind them and get back to playing the way they know how, a report has stated.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how losing their position as joint-top of the league in November – with more than half a championship still to be played – is not a drama, but there is the feeling that a response is needed quickly after two bad defeats in the last two rounds or Milan could very quickly find themselves third or fourth.

Stefano Pioli knows this and has been called to repair Milan in a short time, starting with tomorrow night against Genoa. The Rossoneri put everything on the line in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid and it clearly exhausted a lot of physical and above all mental energy. Now, Pioli will have to take on the role of a psychologist against and train his team to better use resources.

The most recent performances have perhaps shown that not all alternatives are up to the level of the starters, so from now on we may see fewer changes. In the short term, the target is to lock down the defence, rekindle Ibrahimovic and find effectiveness in the other attacking players like Leao, Brahim Diaz and Saelemaekers.
