Divock Origi has not had the easiest of starts to life as a new AC Milan player but he is up to full fitness now and is ready to make an impact.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) focuses on Origi, who arrived with great determination and desire to prove his worth quickly. He disposed of a muscle injury sustained at the end of his time at Liverpool during the last few weeks and then immediately got to work on the pitch so as to be available to Stefano Pioli as soon as possible.

Origi is a striker who is substantially different from those already present in the squad as he fast, powerful and with a background that is often very underestimated. His many years of experience in the Premier League with a head coach in Jurgen Klopp who is meticulous about pressing makes him perfect for Pioli’s game on paper.

The Belgian is also a very flexible player too because he can play as a centre-forward, up front in a two and can also move to the flanks as happened in his debut with Udinese when he came on for Rafael Leao.

Pioli can smile because he finally has an abundance of choice with Olivier Giroud, Origi and Ante Rebic – players with very different characteristics and who can therefore be different solutions to different problems.
