The first official offer that AC Milan have made for Club Brugge midfielder Charles De Ketelaere is too low and has been rejected, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, Milan are very serious about signing De Ketelaere but their first offer was not high enough to make the move happen.
The Rossoneri’s opening bid was €20 million and some bonuses. The Belgian champions rejected that as it is too low but it is hoped that this first step could cause the negotiations to escalate quickly between the two clubs.
Club Brugge are asking for a minimum of €30 million but in the event that more than one club is bidding, they will be hoping for €35 million.
That is a significant investment for Milan to make in a young player with no Serie A experience but they appear very determined to sign the attacking midfielder very soon.
