AC Milan have two profiles in mind for if they are forced to sell Rafael Leao in the upcoming transfer windows, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan defended Leao from Chelsea’s attacks in the summer despite receiving an offer – albeit not official – that was nine figures (€100m+). In January it is easy to imagine that the Blues could return to the negotiating table, so Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara must not be unprepared.

The dialogue over the renewal of the Portuguese winger is ongoing, but if the negotiation were not done or had not made substantial ground by the time January comes around, Milan would really needs to think about the possibility of a sale in order to get a good price.

Where could Milan possibly turn if they found themselves without Leao in the middle of the season? The paper suggests that Chelsea themselves may have a solution in Christian Pulisic, who is admired by the management and the 24-year-old American winger would gladly accept a move to Milan, because he has not played as much as he would have liked.

The other name is that of Noah Okafor, a 22-year-old Swiss forward that Milan faced and conceded against in the Champions League (as did Chelsea). Given his age and potential he would be another prospect to grow.

Finally, the report also mentions that Milan still consider Hakim Ziyech to be a potential solution for the right wing. He did not play much under Thomas Tuchel, but now that Graham Potter is in charge things may change.
