GdS: Milan still choosing between two strategies in pursuit of centre-back
SempreMilan
AC Milan are still working on signing a new centre-back before the transfer window closes with two options currently in mind, a report claims.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) have been at work for several weeks now to try and recruit a new defender after Simon Kjaer’s injury and they are still trying ‘the impossible’ which is to land Sven Botman, but Lille are standing firm because they do not want to sell him in January.
Eric Bailly of Manchester United is an alternative target and contacts with the Ivorian defender are ongoing, but he is currently at the African Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast and time is running out to get everything complete.
That is why Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are also considering the possibility of signing a young prospect with potential instead, like they have chosen to do by replacing Pietro Pellegri with Marko Lazetic.
