A number of AC Milan players impressed during last night’s win over top four rivals Atalanta, and La Gazzetta dello Sport have rightly given them praise.
This morning’s edition of the paper (as seen below) has their ratings from the game last night, starting with the overall performance of the team which was deemed worthy of a 7 out of 10, while Stefano Pioli’s management got a 7.5.
The best player on the park for Milan was Theo Hernandez who had a big hand in the opening goal and received a 7.5, while Rafael Leao was adjudged to be the worst and he got a 5.5.
Mike Maignan had a quiet return to action and scored a 6, which was largely down to the fact that Pierre Kalulu (7), Malick Thiaw (7.5) and Fikayo Tomori (7) all put in almost faultless shifts.
Junior Messias – the scorer of the second goal – also scored a 7, as did Rade Krunic and Sandro Tonali in the double pivot. Brahim Diaz and Olivier Giroud each got a 6.5 to complete the starting XI.
In terms of the substitutions, both Zlatan Ibrahimovic (making his return after nine months out) and Charles De Ketelaere each scored 6.
