After closing the arrivals of Soualiho Meité and Mairo Mandzukic, Milan are not stopping and are looking to complete two more operations.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the club are very close to signing Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea and will subsequently start their final assault to try land Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo. The goal of the Milan management is to guarantee Stefano Pioli quality depth in all departments.

Contacts continued yesterday for Tomori and now the distance between offer and demand is negligible. It will be a paid loan with an option to buy that still needs to be defined, as Chelsea want it to be fixed at €30m while Milan would rather it were €20m.

The English defender has long had an agreement with the Rossoneri and is impatient to start his new adventure in Italy and with Milan. His arrival in the country it should take place either today and tomorrow.

Meanwhile, there was also an important acceleration in the Firpo operation on Tuesday too, the man who is seen as Theo Hernandez’s deputy. Barca are asking for €1million for a six-month loan and an option to buy of €20m, and while the Rossoneri agree on the formula they would like a discount on the redemption amount.

The dialogue between the parties seems to be underway and today talks are also expected with the player’s entourage, who meanwhile has given his willingness to move to Milan.
