Pietro Comuzzo is drawing a lot of interest as his impressive performances for Fiorentina continue, and AC Milan are among the clubs that are keen.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli made a bid of €30m plus €5m in bonuses for Comuzzo during the winter transfer window. Rocco Commisso’s firm no closed the door, persuaded by the will of the head coach Raffaele Palladino.
It was delicate phase for the team. For example, the Croatian defender Marin Pongracic – bought in the summer from Lecce for €15m euros – had not gained the full trust of the new coach. Instead, the following months brought calm back, and now Comuzzo is less indispensable
His price can only go up, especially with the amount of clubs interested in Serie A. In January it was €40m and that could grow even further, even though counterparts could be considered. For example, Juve offered up Fagioli before his loan move there.
The Bianconeri certainly have no shortage of players to propose to Pradé and with the approval of Palladino. That is why this path should be followed with particular attention, while waiting to see if Napoli go back in.
It must be said that Antonio Conte appreciates Comuzzo a lot, as does the sporting director Giovanni Manna himself. Both are believed to be candidates to lead a new era at Milan, it must be mentioned.
Milan also made concrete moves for Comuzzo in January, proposing to Fiorentina the permanent signing of Yacine Adli in the possible operation. Commisso was very clear that he is looking for more.
A summer move from the Rossoneri cannot be ruled out, though in the meantime scouts from Manchester United, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United have repeatedly followed the defender.
When English clubs enter the running it becomes more difficult because of the finances that they boast and the tendency to deal in cash rather than squabble over the value of swap deals.
