AC Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for Hakim Ziyech over the past few transfer windows and now they are expected to go back in for him, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) recall how Ziyech was one of the main protagonists of Morocco’s World Cup victory against Belgium yesterday, but at club level the Chelsea winger found very little playing time in the first part of the season and he is open to a new solution in January.

Ziyech could be very useful in Pioli’s line-up given that he could play both as a right winger and as an attacking midfielder. The Moroccan must regain his rhythm and above all regain a leading role, and Milan could be an opportunity to do just that.

Chelsea are well aware that they won’t be able to demand a large amount despite the fact they paid €40m to sign him from Ajax, while Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are considering launching a six-month loan offer with a €15m option to buy.

However, there is always one big obstacle to overcome and that is Ziyech’s salary of €6m net per season. Despite this, the player wants to return to being a key player at a big club and for this reason Milan hope he may agree to cutting his salary.
