The AC Milan management are already thinking ahead to the January transfer window and they believe they could land a left-back.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Milan will be ready to seize the opportunity to sign Juan Miranda from Real Betis if it becomes concrete. The left-back is considered the ideal deputy to Theo Hernandez for the future, and his deal expires in 2024.

If the current stalemate over a renewal continues, in a few months the Spaniard will be free to agree terms with another team, which is a factor that cannot be discarded.

Milan have an advantage because they have been tracking the player for some time and have been in contact with his entourage too, while the player seems tempted by the idea of making the move.

Betis could soon find themselves at a crossroads: either they resign themselves to the idea of losing Miranda on a free or they sell him in January, which could see his summer asking price (€12m) halved.
