AC Milan’s start to the season has proven that they could have what it takes to mount a serious challenge for the title, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how is still early to think about the Scudetto, but Milan’s form shows they can at least put up a fight for it, and while it will not be easy because the season is long and the competition is string, the Rossoneri can count on head coach Stefano Pioli to keep improving players.

Pioli arrived amid some skepticism but he has shown an ability to bring out the best in a group of players who were struggling. Sandro Tonali and Brahim Diaz are two examples of that, while Rafael Leao also seems to be a mainstay in the XI now.

The transfer window helped Pioli by giving him some real quality like Tonali but also in Mike Maignan – who is surprising everyone – and Fikayo Tomori. The squad is now deeper, and once the injury crisis subsides then that will be more evident.
