Tommaso Pobega spent this past season on loan at Torino and he impressed many during his spell. As a result, he will be a part of AC Milan’s squad for the upcoming season, being an important midfield reinforcement.
The academy product, aged 22, made 33 appearances for Torino and he found the back of the net four times. He also bagged three assists, one of which came in the draw against Milan’s city rivals Inter. In short, he impressed both Torino and Milan.
As per today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara consider Pobega as a signing for the team. He has clearly shown his qualities in the top flight and they now value him at €20-25m.
During the pre-season, he will have an important opportunity to assert himself but rest assured, Pioli wants him in the squad for the 2022/23 season. He will make up for the departure of Franck Kessie and also add some more attacking strength compared to the Ivorian.
