AC Milan have already begun discussions with Real Madrid regarding the future of Brahim Diaz, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) have take stock of the future of Brahim Diaz, who in his third season on loan at Milan but the second of his current two-year loan, after the initial season spell in 2020-21.

The Rossoneri have the option to buy him from Real Madrid at the end of the season for €22m, with Los Blancos having a buy-back clause set at €27m. Therefore, it is not a small price for either club to keep hold of the 23-year-old.

On a technical level Brahim Diaz is convincing Pioli and the club, but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have doubts about the amount of the option to buy and for this reason they have already started contacts with the Spanish club to try lower it.

The player’s willingness to stay at Milan could weigh in as part of the negotiations, but also the excellent relations between the two clubs.
