GdS: Maldini’s Milan renewal in final stages but transfer budgets are being discussed
SempreMilan
The contract negotiations for AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini are in the final stages but now the talks are focusing on transfer budgets, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, the deal for the technical director to extend his Rossoneri is almost completely done.
They are no longer talking about his salary or the length of his contract, which could be three years or two years with the option for a third. Those matters are basically settled.
The conversation has now turned to the competitiveness of the squad and the financial margins that the club must work within in the transfer market.
This assumedly means that Maldini wants some assurances that he will have some money to spend in the market to build a team capable of defending the Scudetto next season.
Some reports have claimed that the delay on Maldini and Frederic Massara’s contracts has caused a delay to transfer deals.
