GdS: How Milan are likely to line up against Venezia next weekend

AC Milan will be up against Venezia next week and while the starting XI hasn’t been fully decided yet, Gazzetta dello Sport has made an educated guess on the matter. Indeed, the international break gives us some clues.

For starters, Ismael Bennacer suffered an injury in training for Algeria and will return to Milanello early. It’s unlikely that he will be risked at the weekend, especially since Milan then have the games against Liverpool and Inter.

A similar discussion can be applied to Alvaro Morata, who has just recovered from his injury and is working to get back to full fitness. The likes of Yunus Musah and Christian Pulisic, meanwhile, will return late as the US have their last game on Tuesday night local time.

As per the pink newspaper (see photo below), therefore, Samuel Chukwueze and Tammy Abraham are pretty much certain to play from the first minute. With the injury of Bennacer, this should also be the case for Youssouf Fofana, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Emerson Royal, Tomori, Pavlovic, Hernandez; Reijnders, Fofana; Chukwueze, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Abraham.
