Olivier Giroud has been a key player for AC Milan at the start of this season and it’s hard to believe that he will turn 36 later this month. Indeed, the Rossoneri are delighted with the performances of the Frenchman.

Before the international break commenced, Giroud played seven (!) consecutive games from start for Milan. Obviously, Stefano Pioli was more or less forced to do this due to the injury situation but the veteran striker responded in the best way.

As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Giroud has equalled his personal best at the start of a season, with five goals in nine games. He first registered that figure with Arsenal back in 2013/14, when he was 28 years old.

He’s the perfect man for Milan, adding experience but also quality to the team. He has found a great partnership with Rafael Leao, as well as Theo Hernandez, and it’s not surprising that the Rossoneri are keen on renewing his contract.
