GdS: From inconsistency to a shining light – Leao becomes Milan’s €100m man
SempreMilan
After two seasons of adaptation and maturation, Rafael Leao has been a real shining light of the current season for AC Milan and his value has now skyrocketed.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how he is the top scorer and the leader of the attack for this group, something which seemed an unlikely scenario one year ago when he was struggling to find consistency despite glimpses of his brilliant.
Leao was bought by Milan from Lille in the summer of 2019 for a figure close to €24m when he was 20 years of age and had the reputation of being a talent that was primed to explode. As mentioned, his first two seasons with the Rossoneri were inconsistent but now he seems to dazzle almost every week.
Whenever he gets the ball in isolation against a defender he almost always wins the battle with his frightening pace and dribbling. Speaking of acceleration, the player’s value has begun to rocket reaching at least €100m, so Milan want to agree a renewal before clubs like PSG – who are interested – come knocking.
