Paulo Fonseca has made it clear to the AC Milan management that he is an admirer of Roma striker Tammy Abraham and he is a name that could be explored, a report claims.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are not only considering Romelu Lukaku for the centre-forward role, although the Belgian has made it known that he would accept a move to the Rossoneri if they can reach a deal with Chelsea.

Fonseca, currently on holiday in Greece, has already made it known that he wants a striker who will fill the area and will make runs in behind. Joshua Zirkzee remains very welcome but the new head coach also likes Abraham, who scored once in eight games last season for Roma in Serie A.

Abraham tore the anterior cruciate in his left knee in June 2023 and returned to the pitch in April. His minutes were carefully managed as is logical after such a serious injury, and he spent a lot of time on the bench watching Lukaku and Paulo Dybala.

He got some minutes in the Europa League quarter-final when Roma beat Milan and that elimination pushed Stefano Pioli out of the club. His replacement is a former Roma coach, who could have two former Giallorossi centre-forwards. A lot of links between the Diavolo and La Lupa, therefore.
