GdS: Deal in 2018 between Juventus and Milan part of 22 being investigated | OneFootball

One of the deals that AC Milan and Juventus completed has ended up coming under the microscope as part of a wider investigation into the Bianconeri’s accounts.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) writes that there are 22 market transactions concerning Juventus that have generated capital gains considered ‘suspicious’ by the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office.

In some cases, there are examples of player trading with other clubs where no (or almost no) money changed hands and in other instances there are doubts about the value of the players’ card.

The Rossoneri appears in the investigators’ records for an operation carried out with the Bianconeri in the summer of 2018. Leonardo Bonucci rejoined Juve after just one season with the Rossoneri and Mattia Caldara – a central defender who joined Juve from Atalanta – moved the other way.

In the end the deal did not work out for the Rossoneri, but it is noted by the paper that both were valued at €35m by the clubs in the exchange. Bonucci’s price was worth that amount after a year of amortisation in Milan’s balance sheet following his €42m move, but the value of Caldara’s was inflated given that the Bianconeri bought him from Atalanta in January 2017 for €19m.

Other operations being looked at include the exchange between Arthur and Miralem Pjanić with Barcelona, ​​the one between João Cancelo and Danilo with Manchester City but also the one involving Leonardo Spinazzola and Luca Pellegrini with Roma.
