AC Milan are pushing ahead with their attempts to sign Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge and they are making progress, a report claims.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, there was a meeting on Wednesday at Casa Milan between the Rossoneri management and Tom De Mul, former partner of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Ajax and current agent of De Ketelaere.
During the talks, De Mul confirmed that De Ketelaere would move very willingly to Milan and Milan made it clear they want him to arrive too. This mutual appreciatio nis very important and will be able to build the foundations of the negotiation between Milan and Club Brugge.
De Ketelaere would prefer a Champions League club compared to some of the mid-table teams in the Premier League that have come forward, so now the ball passes to Milan to get things done.
After the exploratory offer of €20m, Milan are expected to raise the stakes in the next few hours to reach a total of €30m. The feeling is that the parties can close between €30-35m and that Milan are ahead of the competition.
An agreement on terms will not be a problem and the idea of a five-year deal worth €2.5m net per season has already been talked about, which would see De Ketelaere double his current salary.
