AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is preparing for what will possibly be the biggest game of his managerial career so far as his side take on Sassuolo needing a point to win the Scudetto.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport takes a look at the tactical approach Milan may take against the Neroverdi who are dangerous opponents as shown by the fact they have only failed to score in one of their last 12 league games.

The first part looks at coping with Sassuolo’s attack, with Fikayo Tomori to focus on neutralising the prolific Domenico Berardi who likes to cut in from the right wing. This means Franck Kessie and Pierre Kalulu will keep tabs on Gianluca Scamacca, which does free Theo Hernandez to push up in the right moments.

Looking at the midfield battle, Kessie will also have to press Maxime Lopez while Sandro Tonali will be required to keep Davide Frattesi quiet, with the duo being the main creative components. Rade Krunic will have to help his team-mates and look for the right moments to move beyond.
