GdS: Centre-back signing could arrive in the final week – Milan’s three options
SempreMilan
In just two weeks, the January transfer window will come to an end and AC Milan need to find a centre-back before then. However, the Rossoneri are in no rush to pick out the right reinforcement, a report claims.
Simon Kjaer’s injury initially promoted Milan to star scanning the market for a centre-back, given the Dane’s importance. The matter hasn’t exactly become less essential since Fikayo Tomori was ruled out for a month either.
According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are in no rush to secure a new centre-back. In fact, the signing could arrive in the final week of the transfer window.
Eric Bailly has already given his approval to the transfer and talks with Man Utd are still alive, but there is still distance on the formula and fee. The same can be said for Abdou Diallo, for whom Paris Saint-Germain want €25m.
The final name is Nicolo Casale. The 23-year-old has impressed this season and could leave Hellas Verona this month, but a loan formula is very unlikely. His price tag is deemed to be €10m, as per the newspaper.
