Tammy Abraham is in line to make his first start for AC Milan when the Rossoneri take on Venezia at San Siro this weekend.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), Abraham has been using the international window to work on his fitness at Milanello and he has impressed the coaches enough to put himself in line to start against the newly-promoted Venezia.

This is the exact sort of situation that Abraham was signed for, as Alvaro Morata is not certain to be fit in time, but the drop-off to Luka Jovic was deemed too great.

Abraham was positive in his cameo from the bench against Lazio before the international break and he now has the chance to build on that for the Rossoneri and endear himself to the fans early in the loan spell.

Abraham has scored at San Siro before, netting a late equaliser for Roma in a 2-2 draw back in January 2023.

That result began the slow death of Stefano Pioli’s time as Milan coach as the team then entered a terrible patch of form. Now, he is tasked with scoring at San Siro and helping Paulo Fonseca get out of a sticky spell in charge.
