Juventus defender Merih Demiral could demand a move to AC Milan in January due to disappointment over a lack of playing time, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by Calciomercato.com – recently claimed that Milan could make a move to sign a centre-back in January depending on how Mattia Caldara’s return to action goes.

Caldara returned to training with his team-mates again on Monday but has not played a competitive game for the senior side in over six months.

The report stated that November will be a decisive month to see if Caldara can come back and hit form again and if not, interventions in the mercato may be needed.

Now the same newspaper – again cited by Calciomercato.com – claims that Milan may have the chance to sign a Juve defender who is out of favour.

The report states that Demiral is ‘beating his fists on the table to leave’ the Turin club having barely featured under Maurizio Sarri.

The Turkey international has been strongly linked with the Diavolo since the summer, and could apparently cost around €40m in January.

Meanwhile, Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones is reporting that Demiral is open to moving in the winter, with Arsenal and Manchester United interested.
