Ivan Gazidis is back from the United States and he sent a message to the Milan universe.
Gazidis was diagnosed with throat cancer in July 2021 and has been in the United States ever since for his treatment.
Now the Milan CEO is back in Italy and today he posted the following message to the Rossoneri world:
“Dear colleagues,
“As some of you may know, I have just returned to Milano to continue my journey towards healing.
“I want to tell you that it’s a real pleasure and relief to finally return to the city that is truly my home, although the incredible support and affection received in recent weeks has never made me feel far away.
“I’m also delighted to have managed to fulfil my professional duties during this period of very delicate and demanding treatments and cures, especially thanks to your commitment and contribution. It filled me with pride to see the continued progress made, on and off the pitch.
“Now, I will entrust my convalescence to the excellent IEO team here in Milano. Although there will still be a long way to go to fully recover, I remain absolutely confident, and I’m convinced that we will soon be able to meet again in person. In the meantime, we are identifying a date in the coming weeks to virtually meet again in the Town Hall, to be able to greet you and all, and talk to each other directly after this period of distance, even if only physical.
“Sempre Forza Milan,
“Ivan”
