The CEO of AC Milan, Ivan Gazidis, is present at Milanello today for the club’s first training session of the pre-season. Just like Paolo Maldini, he shared some words with the club’s official channel.

Over the last few months, Milan have secured several important sponsorships and most recently, they signed a deal with Puma worth over €150m. Gazidis is to thank for this and he highlighted the importance of the new partnerships today.

Speaking to MilanTV (via MilanNews), Gazidis shared his thoughts on the upcoming season and the new partnerships, including the training kit that Milan are wearing today. Something that shows Milan’s increasingly important brand.

On the raduno…

“It is always an emotion to be here with the fans. I would like to say thanks to our fans because they are always here with us, during this special season and also for the new season. We have to start again with ambition and a desire to improve. After a success like last season, this is a challenge, but we are ready.”

On the new partnerships…

“We have, today, for the first time, the new Puma jersey with the Scudetto patch. We also have a new partnership with Konami and it is important for the development of the club and for the future. We are very proud to have these two big brands with us.”

On the Scudetto…

“All together we created the success of last season, this environment of unity and this relationship with our fans and partnerships.”

Gazidis is expected to leave the club at the end of his contract in November and it remains to be seen who will replace him. That is something that Gerry Cardinale, the CEO of RedBird, will have to decide.
