Juventus defender Federico Gatti was forced to be subbed off in the first half of a Serie A match against Genoa due to an injury.
The Italian centre-back was subbed off at minute 27 right after Kenan Yildiz’s opener at the Allianz Stadium.
Gatti had been limping for a few minutes following an Andrea Pinamonti foul.
During a Genoa counter-attack, Gatti had put his body in front of the Genoa striker, but Pinamonti kicked the defender’s ankle instead of the ball, leaving his opponent in pain.

The Juventus defender remained on the pitch for a few minutes but was forced off at minute 27.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Gatti will undergo medical tests in the coming days to determine his recovery time.
The Juventus defender has likely suffered an ankle injury, but it’s clearly too early to know the nature of his physical issue.
Gatti has already made 40 Juventus appearances this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
French defender Pierre Kalulu was introduced as a substitute, replacing the Italy international.
