Gateshead currently nine points clear of eighth, with clubs second to seventh set to take part in the play-offs at the end of the season,  with Barnet looking nailed on to go up automatically.

If Gateshead were to get into League Two and potentially higher…it would be a massive help to Newcastle United, with a club on the doorstep who they could send promising young players to on loan, able to play at League Two or higher level.
