Forward Sadio Mane found the back of the net during Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Leeds United at Elland Road yesterday.

Despite that being the case, former Manchester United full-back Gary Neville was not impressed with the 29-year-old’s performance against the Whites.

Neville said that Mane’s finishing was “erratic” against Leeds United.

Neville told his self-titled podcast the following (02:20): “Mane was erratic in his finishing.”

Neville is absolutely spot on in his review of Mane’s performance against Leeds United. The winger had 10 shots on goal against the Whites, but he only managed to find the back of the net once.

The Senegal international is a better finisher than what the aforementioned statistics suggest. Mane has scored 99 goals in 222 appearances for Liverpool’s first-team, which backs up the aforementioned argument.

Hopefully the 29-year-old does not lose any confidence after missing a number of chances against Leeds United. Only time will tell.

On another note, Liverpool will face Crystal Palace in their next Premier League clash. The aforementioned fixture will take place at Anfield next Saturday afternoon.
