Manchester United welcomed Aston Villa at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a win at home in the Premier League. The Red Devils made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 21st minute when John McGinn scored with his indirect freekick. Leander Dendoncker doubled Aston Villa’s advantage just five minutes later as Erik ten Hag’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.
Alejandro Garnacho got a goal back for Man United in the 59th minute before going on to equalise for them just 12 minutes later. Rasmus Hojlund ended up completing the turnaround as he scored with a great finish in the 82nd minute. The Mancunian club hung on to their narrow advantage and secured a brilliant 3-2 win in front of their home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each Manchester United player performed during the match against the Villans.
GK: Amadou Onana – 6/10
Onana made two important saves at the back but won’t be pleased after conceding twice in the first half.
RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 7/10
He made a few crucial interceptions inside his half but offered very little going forward.
CB: Jonny Evans – 7.5/10
Evans earned the ball back a few times for his team and dealt with the danger when he could.
CB: Raphael Varane – 7/10
The French talent did his fair share of defending and was dominant in the air.

LB: Diogo Dalot – 7.5/10
Dalot performed his defensive duties well and had one bright moment in the final third.
CM: Kobbie Mainoo – 6.5/10
He anchored the midfield well but struggled to influence the game going forward.
CM: Christian Eriksen – 6.5/10
Eriksen showed some flashes of what he is capable of but failed to make a difference at the centre of the park.
RW: Alejandro Garnacho – 8/10
The gifted youngster scored two fine goals for Man United in the second half which inspired their win.
CAM: Bruno Fernandes – 7.5/10
Fernandes engineered some decent chances for others around him but was left frustrated for most of the game.
LW: Marcus Rashford – 7.5/10
Rashford‘s pace caused some headaches for the Aston Villa defenders. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.
ST: Rasmus Hojlund – 7.5/10
He was quiet for most of the game but came alive in the 82nd minute when he scored the winning goal with a classy finish.
