Harry Kane is said to be enjoying his new life away from Tottenham Hotspur following his move to Germany in the summer.

It is fair to say both parties came out of the summer transfer positively with Kane looking to break the Bundesliga record, whilst Spurs show cause for optimism under Ange Postecoglou.

Southgate issues Kane verdict after Tottenham exit

It was difficult to say goodbye to the striker who has provided us so many memories over the years, but it seems he is not yearning for a return anytime soon.

Kane has taken to the Bundesliga as all Spurs fans would have expected. He now has a stunning return of 24 goals in 20 league games.

But his search for his first major honour may have to wait yet again with Bayer Leverkusen providing Thomas Tuchel’s side serious competition at the top of the table.

Speaking on the England captain’s form, Southgate told Sky Sports Germany: “He‘s enjoying his experience. We haven’t been too many of the games live. But we watch all of his matches. It’s good to see the level of the Bundesliga. Of course your are under pressure. When you are in a club like FC Bayern you have to win every week. So this is good for Harry.”

Winning mentality at Tottenham

Our search for the next major trophy continues, but it has to be noted Postecoglou has brought a mentality that hasn’t been seen around Hotspur Way for a long time.

During the days of Antonio Conte, the Italian claimed it would be like winning a trophy for Tottenham to qualify to the Champions League.

This is despite Spurs qualifying for four of the previous six Champions League campaigns before his arrival at the club.

Yet under the Australian, our ceiling has not been set with ‘Big Ange’ open to the idea of Spurs winning the Premier League title.

“I’ve said that all along, until you’re at the point where you’re not, why would you discount the possibility?” Postecoglou recently said.

And it is just a shame that Kane isn’t still at the club to potentially push us that extra step towards lifitng a trophy.

Of course, we will all be delighted with the form Richarlison is showing at the moment, however, Kane offered an undoubted, reliable source of goals over the course of a season.
