Gareth Bale has been left ‘furious’ after his proposed move to China was blocked by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Bale was on the verge of joining Jiangsu Suning on a three-year deal worth a staggering €1.2m-per-week.

But that deal was blocked at the 11th hour on Sunday by Perez, who has insisted that the Welshman is too valuable to leave on a free.

Jiangsu were set to land Bale for nothing – a deal Real Madrid were initially happy with, so as to get the winger off their wage bill.

But Perez changed his mind, with The Sun saying that the decision has left both Bale and coach Zinedine Zidane ‘furious’.

With the Chinese Super League transfer window closing on Wednesday, it looks as if Bale will be staying at Santiago Bernabéu.
