Gareth Bale has agreed to join Major League Soccer side LAFC.

That’s according to a report on the Athletic on Saturday which claims that the Wales international has opted to move Stateside this summer.

Bale has been a free agent since leaving Real Madrid and was heavily linked with a switch to hometown club Cardiff City.

The 32-year-old has though, decided to join the California side and will formally agree a one year deal with an option for a further 18 months in the coming days.

Bale led Wales to their first World Cup since 1958 earlier this month with their first group game against the United States.
