Galtier confirms Neymar will miss Bayern clash; talks Hakimi and more | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has addressed the media ahead of the club’s clash with Nantes.

Here is what he had to say.

On Neymar’s fitness

“Will Neymar be there against Bayern? No. I think he will forfeit against Bayern Munich.”

“In the next two games, we won’t have Ney available. Our block is much more compact, denser. With the absence of Ney, instead of having two midfielders, we will be with three midfielders and two attackers.

“To tell you that Ney’s absence is harmless, no. It’s a detrimental absence for us.”

On Hakimi

“He trained individually 48 hours ago due to a muscle injury that dates back to the World Cup. The objective is for him to be available for the match against Bayern.”

“I will not answer any questions regarding the extra-sporting [news] on Achraf Hakimi.”

On Ramos

“He doesn’t amaze me at all, he’s one of the finest records and a lot of titles. He’s a very high level player, he’s the very example in a locker room in terms of professionalism and requirement.

“He is at his level and transmits the requirement that we must have every day.”

On Nantes

“It seems important to me to put a very competitive team against Nantes to chain a third consecutive victory in the league. There is no possibility of a huge rotation.”

“The most important game is the one that’s coming. Our squad is weakened by suspensions and injuries, we have to make our way in the league. I hope the players don’t have the game against Bayern on Wednesday in a corner of the lead.”
