AC Milan and Juventus played out what might have been the dullest game of the season so far at San Siro last night, and the Italian media have reacted accordingly.

It was a game bereft of chances and shots on target in truth, but it is certainly a much more damaging result for the Rossoneri given that Juve were without a recognised striker. In addition, Milan have now gone nine points off top.

Below is how the front pages of the Italian papers look.

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Milan-Juve: more whistles than shots and Fonseca goes -9.”

Corriere dello Sport: “The great ugliness. Fonseca-Thiago: three shots on target. Paulo: ‘Whistles are inevitable after such a display.’ Motta, seven draws in 13 matches: ‘Well done even without Vlahovic’.”

Tuttosport: “Horrific 0-0 at San Siro, Inzaghi and Gasp enjoy it. Never say goal. Fonseca and a dull Milan. ‘I would have also booed after such a display.’ Motta and the unbeaten Juve: ‘Proud of my players, we played as a great team. Thuram becomes important.’ But without a centre forward…”
