AC Milan are in Serie A action tonight against Lecce, but a lot of the media headlines surround the planning for beyond the current season.

It has been a tough season for Milan and a tough recent period in particular, with three consecutive defeats leaving the team in 9th place and they could miss out on European football entirely.

A trip to face Marco Giampaolo’s Lecce is on the cards for tonight, a side that are battling relegation and are therefore equally hungry to get three points.

Today’s front pages

Below is how the front pages in Italy look this morning, centred around the chaos involving Sergio Conceicao’s spokesperson.

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Milan, Max is here for you. Allegri is ready to return. Cardinale is studying the summer revolution. But Conceicao is at risk, already today in Lecce (Tassotti is getting ready) and is suing the spokesman.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Milan betrayed. Lecce at 18:00, Leao goes to the bench. Conceiçao: ‘Damaged by my spokesman, he will pay’. Tensions and controversies on the eve of an do-or-die game. ‘The negativity around us must be beaten with results.’ Last call for Theo.”

Tuttosport: “Conceiçao, for now, only the spokesman is sacked. The collaborator leaves. ‘Spite or even worse.’ But the coach risks big.”

QS: “The Diavolo’s torments. Conceicao changes again.”
