AC Milan are back in action at San Siro tonight and they face yet another must-win game against Lazio, even if the top four hopes have virtually vanished.
It hasn’t been a positive recent period for Milan. After the 2-1 defeat against Torino, the Rossoneri lost on Thursday night in Bologna and that means they are now eight points away from the Champions League places.
Lazio are right in the hunt for a top four spot and that means tonight’s game still carries big meaning, and it could just reignite hopes of a late push from Sergio Conceicao’s men.
The Italian newspapers this morning are dominated by last night’s Napoli-Inter clash, but there is still room for a comment about Milan.
La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Milan, enough now. Europa League at least to save face. Lazio in San Siro at 20:45 CET.”
Corriere dello Sport: “Last chance Conceicao, There’s Tare for sporting director. Lazio in San Siro (19.45), Milan in disarray. The coach: ‘We need pride’. Pulisic and Leao with Giminez.”
Tuttosport: “Conceicao, last call.”
QS: “It’s a Milan without alibis.”
