Spurs boast a perfect record in Europe this season and beat AZ Alkmaar 1-0 last time out, with Richarlison scoring a penalty and Mikey Moore impressing on his first start for the first team.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have won three from three and duly sit level on points with Lazio and Anderlecht heading into the fourth round of fixtures.

They have, however, endured another busy week, knocking Manchester City out the Carabao Cup with a 2-1 victory before scoring four in a big win over Aston Villa on Sunday.

Turkish giants, Gala, meanwhile, sit on seven points in Europe with two wins and one draw from their opening three games.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Galatasaray vs Tottenham team news

Gala hope to have left-back Ismail Jakobs available after missing the win over Besiktas. Former Spurs defender Davinson Sanchez should start, while ex-Arsenal man Lucas Torreira will be in midfielder and fearsome striker Victor Osimhen will lead the line.

Spurs will be without Micky van de Ven after the defender sustained a hamstring injury during the win over City, and Cristian Romero will also miss out after the defender was forced off against Villa. Radu Draguin and, later, Ben Davies deputised on Sunday.

There was more positive news with the return of captain Heung-min Son, who assisted Brennan Johnson’s equaliser before being substituted before the hour mark. Son may start again on Thursday, alongside Dominic Solanke, with Richarlison picking up a knock at the weekend and facing a spell on the sidelines.

Mikey Moore misses out due to a virus. Postecoglou will be cautious of playing too many youngsters in the traditionally overwhelming Rams Park crowd.

Galatasaray vs Tottenham prediction

The hosts are in fine form this season and look like one of the more difficult tests for Spurs at this relatively early stage of the European season.

Postecoglou should opt to use a few more of his more experienced players for this one, especially with Ipswich at home in the league this coming Sunday.

Draw, 1-1.
