Turkish Süper Lig Galatasaray have submitted a €6m bid for Rennes right-back Guéla Doué (21), according to a report from L’Equipe this Thursday. The 21-year-old Rennes player – the older brother of Bayern and PSG target Désiré Doué (19) – is not expected to remain at Rennes this season as he enters his final contract year. The Ivory Coast international played 33 games with Rennes last season. Guéla Doué was the starting right-back on the back of Lorenz Assignon’s departure to Burnley FC.
The outlet understands that Guéla Doué would be tempted to join Galatasaray. However, other clubs are reportedly interested in the signing of the right-back, who was one of the most consistent and reliable Rennes defenders last season. Should Guéla Doué were to leave Rennes, he would be the sixth Stade Rennais to leave the club after Enzo Le Fée (AS Roma), Fabian Rieder (Vfb Stuttgart), Jeanuël Belocian (Bayer Leverkusen), Matthis Abline (Nantes) and Martin Terrier (Bayer Leverkusen).
