Paris Saint-Germain will have several loanees returning this summer. However, two players with no future in the French capital could play together at Galatasaray for the 2023-24 season.
According to Fotomaç and journalist Matteo Moretto, the Turkish club is interested in landing 2022 FIFA World Cup winner Leandro Paredes this summer.
Paredes has spent the 2022-23 season on loan to Juventus, but the Serie A side won’t be keeping the Argentine on a permanent deal. As a result, Galatasaray could look to swoop in for Paredes as they bolster their team for the UEFA Champions League.
Galatasaray has a five-point lead with two matches left and is on the verge of winning the Süper Lig, so they’re looking ahead and want to put together a competitive squad that includes Paredes.
Nonetheless, Paredes might not be the only PSG Argentine player to be playing in İstanbul next season. Mauro Icardi has bolstered his stock while on loan at Galatasaray, so the Turkish club will be looking to keep the 30-year-old past this season.
Icardi has scored 20 goals and registered eight assists in 24 appearances for Galatasaray.
