Galatasaray could launch move for Barcelona star this summer | OneFootball

A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has this week been linked with a move to Turkey, with Galatasaray.

The player in question? Iñaki Peña.

Shot-stopper Peña has been hotly tipped for a move away from Catalunya’s capital this summer.

Already behind both Wojciech Szczęsny and Marc-André ter Stegen in the pecking order between the posts in Hansi Flick’s squad, and with Barcelona now actively pursuing the signature of Espanyol standout Joan García, Peña looks set to be the odd man out.

Now on the lookout for a new no.1 of their own following the retirement of club legend Fernando Muslera, the aforementioned Galatasaray, in turn, have been credited with an interest in the out-of-favour Barca star.

Peña actually previously spent time on Gala’s books, on loan during the 2021/22 campaign.

And having left a positive impression on those behind the scenes in Istanbul, as per Mundo Deportivo, a reunion could be on the cards this summer, on this occasion by way of a permanent transfer.
