Norwich City have had a mixed start to the 2022/23 Championship campaign.
Having just been relegated from the Premier League, naturally, the Canaries were one of the sides hotly-tipped for promotion before a ball was kicked this season.
However, whilst at times results have suggested they are capable of doing so, at other times, they have been poor.
Nevertheless, the club sit 5th in the division at present, so are still within touching distance.
Putting this season’s form aside, though, with the World Cup break upon us, we thought we’d take a look at the five most valuable players at each Championship club.
Here are how they rank at Norwich City, as per Transfermarkt.
The fifth most valuable player currently at Norwich City, as per the Transfermarkt valuations, is midfielder Marcelino Nunez.
Nunez joined Norwich City this summer from CD Universidad Catolica, who are based in Chile, the midfielder’s homeland.
So far this campaign, Nunez has racked up 20 appearances for Norwich in all competitions, having been a mainstay in Dean Smith’s side up until the end of October.
In at number four in terms of value is Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara.
Another of Norwich City’s summer additions, Sara joined the Canaries from Sau Paulo and has gone on to make 17 club appearances so far.
Until very recently, though, the 23-year-old has had to make do with coming off the bench, rather than starting, for Dean Smith’s side.

In as the third most valuable player currently at Norwich comes a much more familiar name associated with the club given how long he has been there.
Cantwell has played a role in two Premier League promotions and campaigns for the Canaries.
So far in his career, Cantwell has made 129 club appearances, scoring 14 and registering 12 assists.
With his contract due to expire, it remains to be seen how many appearances are added to that tally.
The second most valuable player currently at Norwich City is forward Josh Sargent as per Transfermarkt.
Sargent joined the club last season ahead of their Premier League return and has bagged 13 goals for the club so far.
This season in particular the USA international has been in fine form, netting nine Championship goals to head into the World Cup break as joint top scorer in the division.
Last but certainly not the least, as per Transfermarkt, the most valuable player currently at Norwich City is full-back Max Aarons.
Aarons’ ranking comes as no surprise, with the young full-back arguably being Premier League quality.
The 22-year-old, like Cantwell, has featured in two promotion winning campaigns for the club and has so far racked up an impressive 187 club appearances.
Linked with the likes of Manchester United ahead of the January transfer window, how long he has left at Carrow Road remains to be seen.
