Defence

David Raya always looks comfortable and calm under pressure. He will be starting as the gloveman yet again. Right-back Jurrien Timber gave a fantastic performance against United and should be able to retain his position.

While William Saliba continues to lead the defensive pack, he is expected to have his partner Gabriel Magalhaes back into the lineup. Even Riccardo Calafiori could be making his comeback and take up his usual left-back position. It also means both Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko will serve on the bench.

Midfield

Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard are expected to start in the middle of the park again. However, Mikel Arteta could give rest to Thomas Partey keeping the Monaco game in mind. Mikel Merino is likely to start this game to fill Partey’s position.

Attack

Leandro Trossard might also get the nod ahead of Gabriel Martinelli on the left wing. However, both Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz will be operating at their usual positions on the field.

Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are the confirmed absentees for this game as they both are sidelined for a long period due to knee injuries. On the other hand, the participation of Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori is still in doubt.
