Gabriel Magalhaes and Arsenal are likely to turn down any formal approach from Juventus for his signature, amid recent reports of their interest.

The Telegraph report that Gabriel Magalhaes is happy at Arsenal and not planning to push for a move to Juventus.

The Serie A club have been linked with Gabriel recently, but they’re yet to make any kind of formal offer for the defender.

If they did, The Telegraph claim it would take a considerable fee for Arsenal to even consider a sale. Gabriel is still under contract until 2025, having only joined in 2020.

The player himself is settled in London and at Arsenal, starting a family in the city.

Juventus could offer Arthur Melo as part of a deal for Gabriel, after Arsenal’s interest in the midfielder in January. But the Gunners are now focusing their attentions elsewhere, with Youri Tielemans the midfield priority.

When Gabriel was linked with Barcelona recently, Football.London reported that Arsenal were refusing to entertain any offers for the player.

The whole saga was a little odd, with Spanish outlets claiming it was actually Barcelona who had turned Gabriel down.

It seems increasingly unlikely that was the case, particularly now that reports suggest the 24-year-old is so happy in North London. He’s evidently not offering himself out to new clubs right now.
