Matteo Gabbia spoke about his new coach and his new teammates after the Leeds draw.

Milan continued their pre-season preparations today as they played a 1-1 draw against Leeds United in Dublin. Tomorrow they have another match, playing Chelsea in London.

AFter the match, Gabbia – who was the Rossoneri’s captain – spoke to Sky Italia:

“We’re happy. The real season hasn’t started yet, but the preparation has been carried out with great attention, care for details, and maximum commitment. The atmosphere across the board is very positive; we’re ready to start with a strong desire for redemption after a negative year for us.”

Do you like Allegri’s way of working?“It’s not for me to say how good the coach is; he’s getting along well with the group. We like his staff and the way they approach us: trust and professionalism both on and off the pitch, while also allowing for lightness and the chance to joke around. We have the opportunity to have a great season.”

What do you think about Modrić and Ricci:“They are certainly players who share intelligence in their behavior and life choices. People like that have no trouble fitting in; they give you energy, motivation, and a desire to improve. We’re happy to have them with us. It’s great to train with a group like this: now that the official matches are starting, it’s up to us to prove it on the pitch.”
